Okay, so here’s how it works.
We live in an age of accelerated renaissance, of soaring artistic, scientific, and technological achievement. We also live in a day of baser entertainment, of degenerative popular art, and of an onslaught of filth and garbage. In many ways, it’s a time cultural warfare, when even friends and relatives are increasingly divided.
For many years, I have had a vision of art as a forger of community, of decency, and of identity.
The standard for meaningful and good art must be raised.
Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
